heart over mind
You caught my eye
and I could not deny
the feeling inside
was like the tide
pulling me close
with just one dose
into a comatose
I could not oppose
to you that night
though I put up a fight
but it was not right
for I wanted to hold you tight
and never let go
even though
my mind said no
it was merely an echo
so instead I dove right in
and now I cannot begin
to explain the origin
of this grin
across my face
as my heart starts to race
